MOVING WATER ALLIANCE
An initiative by EARTH MOTHER COMMUNITY
Moving Water Alliance is home to river and beach cleanups from around the globe. This membership-based organisation offers support and community to its members and hosts a monthly podcast show as well as a bi-monthly free Zero-Waste Workshop. This project is entirely operated by volunteers and recently migrated over from The Planet Calls CLG.
Our Story
In 2021 the founder of the project, Amour Setter realised a need in communities around the globe to rally their friends and family members to not only help clean up their rivers and beaches but also to adopt a zero-waste lifestyle and encourage and teach their communities to do the same.
The project faced many challenges in the beginning, but soon a core volunteer team emerged who proved to be dedicated and reliable, and equally passionate and motivated to spread the messages about preventing plastic pollution from reaching rivers and ultimately, the ocean.
Soon a monthly podcast show emerged, followed by a bi-monthly Zero-Waste Workshop. These aspects of the project have served to educate and inform communities and have proved to be very necessary for our ongoing attempts to improve the health of our planet.
